The Learning Rooms and their clients have been shortlisted for two National Training Awards in 2022.
Now in its twenty-fourth year, the IITD National Training Awards is recognised as the premier Learning & Development event for the industry. The purpose of the IITD National Training Awards is to promote excellence, best practice and innovation in Training and Learning & Development, and to highlight the importance of this area in today’s business climate.
Excellence in Digital Learning
The Learning Rooms client, Lámh has been shortlisted for the Excellence in Digital Learning award. The Excellence in Digital Learning award recognises outstanding and innovative initiatives, including any type of learning that is facilitated by technology or by instructional practice that makes effective use of technology.
Lámh worked with The Learning Rooms to develop their Module One Lámh course for digital delivery. Module One Lámh Course is for those working with children and adults who use Lámh to enhance their communication. Lámh is the manual sign system used by children and adults with intellectual disability and communication needs in Ireland. The Module One course is designed for teachers, SNAs, social care workers, PAs and preschool staff and others, who work in mainstream and special schools, preschools, adult support services and other settings. The Module One Online course is delivered through a series of eLearning modules and a live session with a Lámh Tutor.
Best L&D Collaboration
Teagasc and The Learning Rooms have been shortlisted for the Best L&D Collaboration award. The Best L&D Collaboration award will be made to a consultancy, agency, or in-company collaboration that has successfully delivered qualitative solutions to a target audience. The submission should clearly demonstrate evidence of good collaboration, understanding and co-operation to achieve a particular goal or business outcome. It should be outputs based and focus on innovative solutions and the quantifiable results achieved.
Teagasc and The Learning Rooms successfully collaborated on a diverse range of digital learning activities comprising of digital learning capability development for Teagasc staff and Subject Matter Experts, Virtual Classroom capability development for Teagasc Education staff and the development of new services to bring Teagasc innovation and research to the market through digital learning.
