The Learning Rooms worked collaborated with Teagasc to create 14 hours of online training for farming advisors around Ireland for the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine.

About Teagasc
Teagasc, is the Agriculture and Food Development Authority for Ireland. They are the leading national body providing integrated research, advisory and training services to the agriculture and food industry and rural communities of Ireland.
The Challenge
The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) supports the strategic development of the agri-food sector, ensuring it operates to the highest standards. Online training for Irish Farming Advisors was required to equip them with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively work with their farmer clients. This would help DAFM to deliver a sustainable, growth-driven sector focused on competitiveness and innovation.
The Solution
The Learning Rooms worked in collaboration with key stakeholders in the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, and Teagasc to develop twenty-five modules split across five key areas:
- Climate Change
- Health & Safety
- Biodiversity
- Water Quality
- Soil Quality
The Learning Rooms delivered Instructional Design training to the team of Subject Matter Experts within Teagasc. Teagasc provided content writing and SMEs and The Learning Rooms provided learning design and multimedia expertise. The modules were multimedia rich with expert videos and contained engaging exercises throughout.
