23 Jul COVID-19 Return to Work Safely eLearning
As Ireland and much of the world begin to return to work, employers and employees need to implement new practices to ensure workplaces are safe and staff are following best practice and current guidance in relation to the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Exposure to COVID-19 may present a health risk to workers and other persons in the workplace. The risks of exposure to COVID-19 in the workplace depend on the likelihood of coming into close contact with others, in having frequent physical contact with people who may be infected with COVID-19, and through contact with contaminated surfaces and objects. Employers are advised to follow the latest public health advice and identify and implement suitable control measures to mitigate the risk of COVID-19 infection in the workplace.
In Ireland the Return to Work Safely Protocol has been produced to support employers and employees to put measures in place that will help prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the workplace. The protocol requires that employers must provide COVID-19 induction training for all employees before they return to the workplace.
Training in the following areas is typically required:
- What is COVID-19
- Signs and Symptoms of COVID-19
- How COVID-19 is Spread
- Protocol for Employers & Employees
- Workplace Preparations
- COVID-19 Compliance Officer/Lead Worker Representative
- Protecting Yourself & Others from COVID-19
- At Risk Groups
- Hand Hygiene, Respiratory Hygiene & Physical Distancing
- First Aid
- Cleaning & Waste Management
- Suspected & Confirmed COVID-19 Cases
- COVID-19 and Your Mental Health
- COVID-19 Management
- HSA Checklists
The reality is that many industries and businesses will need to implement specific procedures and practices that are unique to them and their ways of working. As well as this, they will need to provide induction training to staff and contractors on their specific implementation of the protocol and guidelines before a return to the work premises is possible.
To assist with this, talk to The Learning Rooms about a developing COVID-19 Return to Work eLearning course that is designed specifically for your organisation. We will work with you and your COVID-19 Compliance Officer to design and build a digital learning experience that enables your staff implement the procedures in a practical way. Our approach to digital learning provides an engaging and multimedia rich experience where your staff will apply their knowledge to work through practical scenarios that are relevant and specific to their needs.
For organisations who do not have their own Learning Management System, our cloud based eLearning platform can be used to roll out your courses and provide you with full oversight on staff completion.
