A learning management system for the Public Appointments Service
The Learning Rooms worked with the Public Appointments Service to prepare and launch a Learning Management System (LMS) to host their online courses.
About the Public Appointments Service
The Public Appointments Service is the leading provider of recruitment, assessment and selection services for Civil Services in Ireland. They recruit for organisations, such as the HSE, An Garda Síochána and local authorities.
The Challenge
The Public Appointments Service required a centralised platform to deliver client training and continuous development courses to staff. The platform needed to be able to deliver a blended learning approach, so it not only needed to be able to host eLearning courses but also contain supporting material and assessments as well as being able to manage users.
The Solution
The Learning Rooms worked with the Public Appointments Service to develop a Moodle Learning Management System. The secure learning technology is accessed by username and password. The look and feel of the LMS was designed by The Learning Rooms to fit with the Public Appointments Service branding guidelines and the design of their strategy. Staff within the Public Appointments Service were trained on how to use and manage the LMS technology.
