Helping Ireland’s civil services succeed while working from home
The Learning Rooms worked with OneLearning to develop a series of animations about working from home during the Covid-19 pandemic. A quick turnaround was required due to the sudden need for Civil and Public Service staff to work from home. The animations were scripted and developed within a matter of days.
About OneLearning
OneLearning is the Irish Civil Service Learning and Development Centre. OneLearning supports the development of skills and competency development across Civil and Public Services. They facilitate ongoing professional development and ensure that staff have access to learning and development when required.
The Challenge
The Covid-19 crisis meant that many Civil and Public Service staff and managers were required to work from home for the first time. These remote working circumstances were new and unfamiliar. OneLearning needed to provide clear advice to civil and public service staff to make working from home easier and more productive. They also needed to equip and empower managers to best support their teams.
The Solution
A series of animations were created:

- Preparing for Online Virtual Training
- Wellbeing of Workers Providing Essential Services
The animations follow a set of characters, they provide tips and offer solutions to problems that staff and managers might encounter.
