Streamlining eLearning processes for Oide
The Learning Rooms worked with Oide Technology in Education to establish clear eLearning development processes and assist Oide TIE content writers to understand the requirements of their role.
About Oide Technology in Education
Oide is a support service for primary and post-primary teachers and school leaders, funded by the Department of Education in Ireland. In particular, Oide Technology in Education promote and support the embedding of digital technology in teaching, learning and assessment in primary and post-primary schools.

The Challenge
Oide TIE promote and support the use of digital technology in schools throughout Ireland through the design and delivery of online courses for teachers. They utilise Local Trainer Facilitators (LTF) and Professional Learning Leaders (PLL) to ensure content is high quality and applicable to teachers and leaders in Irish schools. Oide TIE needed to define their approach for eLearning projects, set roles for the people involved, define their unique development process and set quality standards for their online courses.
The Solution
The Learning Rooms worked with Oide TIE on a two-part solution. Firstly, we consulted on and documented their processes and quality standards, alongside quality control checklists and templates for each stage of the eLearning development process. Secondly, we developed a 30-minute Rise course for Oide TIE content writers to serve as a reference guide throughout the writing process.
I was delighted to work with The Learning Rooms on our recent eLearning project. Their expertise in producing excellent content is evident in every aspect of their work from ideation and design to the final product. Their attention to detail, professionalism and creative approach made it a very smooth and enjoyable project to work on. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a high-quality digital learning content.
