Written and built by our digital learning team and built using our Storyline Template, it provides a multimedia rich learning experience. It is delivered through eight sections made up of short eLearning modules, resources, and an assessment. You will practically apply your learning through a series of short tasks leading to an eLearning course storyboard on completion.

Instructional Design for eLearning

The Instructional Design for eLearning section explores the instructional design frameworks ADDIE and SAM. It outlines the instructional design process with a focus on analysing the learning need and defining learning outcomes. You will be introduced to relevant learning theories, learn how to structure your eLearning course, and how to write great content.

In this section you will write SMART learning outcomes and develop a structure for your course.

Storyboarding your eLearning Project

The Storyboarding your eLearning Project section explores the use of storyboards in eLearning. You will learn how to develop a storyboard.

In this section you will write and storyboard content for your course.

Motivating and Assessing your Learners

The Motivating and Assessing your Learners section explores how to design eLearning content to motivate your learners. It discusses learning through questioning, how to write great questions, and the options available to assess your learners. It also introduces you to scenario-based learning.

In this section you will write an assessment for your course.

Setting your Course up for Success

The Setting your Course up for Success section discusses accessibility, copyright and media. You will also explore the development, implementation and evaluation stages of ADDIE that come after storyboarding.

In this section you will define and source media for your course.
