Public Appointments Service blended learning project shortlisted for IITD Award

The Learning Rooms partnered with The Public Appointments Service in 2016/2017 to deliver an innovative digital learning project. The scope of the project included a new eLearning Hub and the design and delivery of a blended learning initiative to train their interview board members on the PAS structured approach to interviewing.

This project has been shortlisted by the Irish Institute of Training & Development National Training Awards 2018 in the ‘Excellence in Digital Learning’ category.

The Excellence in Digital Learning award aims to recognise an outstanding and innovative initiative which includes any type of learning that is facilitated by technology or by instructional practice that makes effective use of technology.

The full shortlist for Excellence in Digital Learning includes:

The next stage of the awards is for shortlisted organisations to make a presentation to the Judging Panel to discuss their submission in greater detail.

The IITD National Training Awards 2018 will be judged by a panel of judges made up of some of Ireland top L&D Professionals working in leading organisations.

Commenting on the news, Ryan McInnes, eLearning Director said “This project is a great example of how digital learning and learning technologies can make a real difference in the delivery of training to a wide audience. PAS clients are drawn from throughout the Irish public service. PAS and their clients are now enjoying a range of benefits since the project launched. We are delighted to have partnered with the Public Appointments Service on this project and we wish them and the other shortlisted organisations good luck for the remainder of the awards process.

The gala dinner and awards ceremony for the 19th Annual IITD National Training Awards will take place on Friday 20th April, at the prestigious Killashee Hotel, Naas.
