Plan for, manage and monitor the risks posed to workers by Covid-19
An online course for Covid-19 Compliance Officers
The Learning Rooms partnered with Screen Ireland/Fís Éireann to rapidly develop an online course for Covid-19 Compliance Officers.
About Screen Ireland/Fís Éireann
Screen Ireland/Fís Éireann provide training and career development for those working in the Irish film, television and animation industry. This project was a partnership between:
- Animation Skillnet
- Immersive Technologies Skillnet
- Gréasán na Meán Skillnet
- Learning Waves Skillnet
- Screen Skillnet
The Challenge
In response to the Covid-19 crisis, Screen Ireland/Fís Éireann was confronted with a significant challenge of needing to ensure workplaces were compiling with current Covid-19 best practice and guidance. The role of the Covid-19 Compliance Officer was to plan for, manage and monitor the risks posed to workers by the Covid-19 virus. Due to the urgency for the audio-visual sector to return to work and the limitation of workplaces requiring a trained Compliance Officer, an online course had to be available within a short time frame. More importantly, it had to be comprehensive enough for the Compliance Officers to adequately undertake their new role.
The Solution
The Learning Rooms partnered with Screen Ireland to develop a 60 minute online course for Covid-19 Compliance Officers. The course equips trainees with the necessary skills, knowledge and expertise to undertake their new role as a Compliance Officer. The key outcome of the course is to ensure Compliance Officers are capable of designing and implementing accurate and relevant Covid-19 Response Plans specific to their workplace.
Alongside the course development, The Learning Rooms also prepared and launched a Moodle Learning Management System to host the course.
