We are delighted to confirm that The Learning Rooms will exhibit at the Health Management Institute of Ireland (HMI) Annual Conference on Thursday 22 October 2026. The day runs from 8.30am to 3.30pm in the Concert Hall at the RDS in Dublin 4.
This is the fourteenth HMI Annual Conference and we have proudly sponsored every one of them. As HMI’s strategic learning partner, we deliver training and eLearning that supports health and social care managers right across Ireland, so this event has become a firm fixture in our calendar.
This year’s theme
HMI has chosen system leadership driven modernisation of health and social care as the theme for 2026. System leadership describes a collaborative approach to the kind of problems that stretch across organisational boundaries. No single organisation or individual can fix them alone, so leadership becomes collective, distributed and relational rather than something that simply flows down from the top.
In an Irish context that thinking runs right through Sláintecare and the wider reform programme, taking in structural change, cultural change and the move towards digital and data based decision making. The theme speaks directly to what we do every day, because modernising services at scale always comes back to helping people learn new ways of working.
What you will find at our stand
Our team will be on hand all day and we would love to talk through the areas managers ask us about most:
- Custom eLearning built around your service, your policies and your people, developed using our eXACT methodology
- Accessibility that stands up to scrutiny, including screen reader testing on every project so your courses genuinely work for every member of staff
- eXgo, our branded Moodle learning platform bundled with a ready made course catalogue for organisations that need a straightforward way to get training out the door
- Be Better At, our series of ten minute microlearning courses covering practical workplace skills
- The eXcolo Toolkit, which gives your own team more than 150 Articulate Storyline slide types, a storyboard template and instructional design training
Why we keep coming back
The HMI conference brings together senior managers, policy makers, educators and service users in one room for a day, and the atmosphere stays relaxed and friendly throughout. The programme leaves real time for debate, discussion and networking rather than packing the schedule end to end.
For us the value sits in the conversations between sessions. We hear first hand where managers feel stuck, what training pressures they face and which regulatory changes are landing on their desks. That shapes the courses we develop far more usefully than any survey could.
Booking your place
HMI manages registration through its own website, where you will find the full speaker line up and current rates for members and non members. Discounts usually apply for group bookings, so it is worth asking the HMI office if you plan to bring colleagues.
See you in the RDS
Whether you want to talk about a specific project, get a second opinion on an accessibility question or simply say hello, please stop by. We enjoy this conference every year and we are already looking forward to October.
If you would rather talk before then, get in touch with us and we will set up a call.
